Incomplete documentation

The smart transfer switch was the last piece to arrive. This is a DIY install which the electrician in the video said is within the capabilities of a DIY. The first issue is the offset between the breaker box knockouts and the cable entry area on the switch. I resolved this with two conduit bodies. Pulling the 2GA wires was difficult but not impossible with the conduit offsets. I moved three circuits from a previously installed sub panel. I activated the breakers and the power button. No power on the three 120V circuits! The printed manual and online troubleshooting were no help. While waiting for a response from support I noticed the power button is also labeled pause/resume. Pressing the button turned on power to the attached circuits. Support said it is not possible to show the state of the pause/resume in the app. The next issue was installing a 240V breaker. The slots in the deadfront cover have crossbars blocking the installation. Support said the crossbar can be removed and to get a licensed electrician to do the installation. The app is then used to set the combined slots to 240V in voltage configuration mode. The circuits display does not indicate they are tied together as a 240V circuit. The last issue was the battery charge dropping to 92%. Tapping the battery indicator opens new window showing the charge state and with a charge now slider. This charged the batteries to 100%. The battery charge state again dropped to 92%. I found a slider in working modes that sets the power level for automatic charging. The default was set to 90%. I moved the slider to set it to 95%. Waiting to see if that works. The unit is well constructed and was well packaged. The included and online documentation does not cover any of the above issues. Have not tried a simulated power outage yet. I like the option to set the priority for each of the attached circuits. The measured consumption on each circuit is an added bonus.

Battery's so far charging as I write this review. So far so good. No problem connecting to the 5000. 3rd battery due Dec 2. Will complete charging that battery that day. Tested the 5k on several lines off my Reliance transfer switch. All went well. No hitches generating powe to those lines. Worked as advertised. Again except connection to wifi.
