Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 Portable Power Station

I purchased the Jackery Explorer 1000 V2 during the Early Bird Discount period in May 2024 to help during the expected power outages this Summer. The biggest reason for this purchase is my great experience with the other Jackery Explorers that my family have been using for the past five years. All of my other units are still working as expected and are still at peak performance. Last year we had some rotating blackouts and I wanted to add another quick charging unit to my mix. I like the Jackery Explorer 1000 V2 enough that I plan to purchase another one before Christmas this year.

I purchased a Jackery 2000 Pro in December 2022 that is also quick charging and it is used on my refrigerator. The 1000 Plus purchased in November 2023 will be used to power my chest freezer. The Jackery Explorer 1000 V2 will be used to operate some of my kitchen appliances that are at or above the max ratings of my E1000 power stations. The E1000 V2 has been tested with a hair dryer in max temp & speed at 1600 watts for a few seconds. The E1000 V2 will also charge at a 100 Watt rate from a 13 Volt battery if you need to extend its run time with moderate loads. Note the E1000 V2 will not except a charge if the display reads 100% even after setting for enough time for the internal self discharge to drop the charge below 100%.

I have several Jackery Explorer 300s and several Jackery Explorer 1000s that are real handy for USB devices, lights and kitchen appliances. My extended family also have several Jackery Explorers that they find really useful. I guess my family are all Jackery fans. My extended family has at least one Jackery Explorer unit from the Explorer 160 through the Explorer 1000 and are all dependable and they just work when you need them.

I needed another unit with a large Inverter and with a quick charging ability in case we experience rotating blackouts again this year. The Explorer 1000 V2 with a internal LiFePO4 battery has more capacity and almost the same weight as the very useful Jackery Explorer 1000. The Explorer 300 and the Explorer 1000 are light weight, very handy and are my favorite sizes in the Jackery line. Be sure to grab them while you can.

One of the reasons that I chose the Jackery Explorer line is that they are reliable self contained units and do not require other equipment to operate. Some of the competition requires smart phones with special applications to use all of the features. If you have a wide area power outage it is better to have each piece of your emergency equipment able to stand alone. It is somewhat discouraging to see some of the new Jackery units requiring a smart phone for some of their features.

Actively use this device to power everything from drills to computers daily. More than power to get jobs done for about a week.
With two 200W solar panels recharging time is low laying them flat on their backs along sun’s arc rather than re-aiming constantly.
One caution to all these products: their Jackery photos show solar cells out in a sunny field next to the Jackery battery. All Jackery batteries specifically state you should NOT put them in direct sun.
As for weight, this is 24 pounds with a fabulous handle. I’m mid 70’s and carry it everywhere without significant effort.

I was elated to have an opportunity to trade in my jackery 1000 for the new Jackery 1000 V2. The faster charge and lighter weight of V2 were features I’d like to have but not enough to purchase a new one out right. The trade-in made it work great with my finances and now I’m better prepared for hurricane season!

I bought my very first Jackery battery power station as a small home back up since we have had multiple power outages lately. It is a nice unit that works flawlessly with an easy to use display panel. My only complaint is the website in which I get pop ups that I don't know if they are legit or not. One says it is a 90 percent off. Looks like a scam. I find the models confusing. Ex., is my V2 the same as the 1000 plus? I want to add an optional batt but is it only for the plus and not the V2? I don't know.
